Morria’s lead products are first-in-class synthetic anti-inflammatory drugs termed Multi-Functional Anti-Inflammatory Drugs (MFAID).
These unique drugs target a known but previously elusive key event in the inflammation process upstream of current competitors while simultaneously protecting cells and tissues against inflammatory damage and stimuli. Morria has two lead products (MRX4 for allergic rhinitis and MRX6 for contact dermatitis) scheduled for clinical trials in late 2007 and a growing library of additional compounds.
Double blind placebo controlled human pilot-studies for contact dermatitis have been successfully completed in Israel .
Morria is also currently engaged in research agreements with three global pharmaceutical leaders in the fields of ophthalmology, eye-care and cardiovascular medicine.
Morria is targeting three major inflammatory disease areas:
- Dermatology (contact dermatitis)- Respiratory (allergic rhinitis and cystic fibrosis)
- Gastro-intestinal inflammatory (IBD)
Pre-clinical and clinical (Phase II) development programs are currently underway.
