Mark Cohen (Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors)
Mark Cohen is a Senior Partner and Chair of the Life Science Group at Pearl Cohen Zedek Latzer, LLP. He is admitted to the New York and New Jersey bars in the United States and the Israel Bar, and a registered patent attorney in the United States. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in biochemistry from Rutgers College, New Jersey; a Master of Science degree in biology from New York University; and a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Baltimore, Maryland.
Prof. Johnson Lau (MD PhD)
As an experienced veteran of the pharmaceutical industry and a respected academic, Johnson brings with him decades of experience. He is the former Chairman and CEO of Ribapharm (the second biggest IPO of a biotech company) and has worked in academia (over 260 papers), industry (ICN, Schering-Plough) and investment banking (Roth Capital) and is a consultant to numerous Big Pharma. Johnson has been involved in multiple biotechnology start-ups in a variety of roles including executive and directorship (Kinex, Chelsea Pharma).
David Sidransky, M.D.
Dr Sindransky is a Professor in Otolaryngolgoy and Oncology at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. David Sidransky joined the Board of Morria in 2008 and will serve as the Chairman of the Company's Compensation Committtee. Dr. Sidransky is a founder of several private biotechnology companies and has served on numerous scientific advisory boards of many private and public companies, including Medimmune, Telik, Roche and Amgen. He was formerly on the board of scientific counselors at the NIDCR and was a member of the Recombinant DNA advisory committee at the National Institute of Health NIH (RAC). He served on the Board of Directors of ImClone Systems as Vice-chairman prior to the company's sale to| Eli Lilly. He is currently on the board of KV pharmaceuticals and chairs the board of Champions Oncology and Tamir Bitoechnology. Dr. Sidransky is on numerous editorial boards and was a founder and senior editor of Clinical Cancer Research. Currently, Dr. Sidransky is the Director of the Head and Neck Cancer Research Division at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. In addition, he is Professor of Oncology, Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, Cellular & Molecular Medicine, Urology, Genetics, and Pathology at Johns Hopkins University and Hospital. Dr. Sidransky is certified in Internal Medicine and Medical Oncology by the American Board of Medicine. He has over 400 peer-reviewed publications, and has contributed more than 50 cancer reviews and chapters and also has numerous issued biotechnology patents. He has been the recipient of many awards and honors, including the 1997 Sarstedt International prize from the German Society of Clinical Chemistry, the 1998 Alton Ochsner Award Relating Smoking and Health by the American College of Chest Physicians and the 2004 Hinda and Richard Rosenthal Award from the American Association of Cancer Research. In 2001 Dr Sidransky was noted as the top Oncologist in the country by Time Magazine.
Gilead Raday
Gilead currently serves as VP Product and Corporate Development of RedHill Biopharma Ltd. a drug development company listed on the Tel-Aviv Stock Exchange (TASE: RDHL). Gilead previously served as interim CEO of Sepal Pharma Plc., and was a Director on the Boards of several life-science companies. He is a graduate of the University of Cambridge (MPhil in Bioscience Enterprise) and the Hebrew University of Jerusalem (MSc Neurobiology, BSc Mathematics and Biology).
