Morria Biopharmaceuticals Plc has assembled an experienced team dedicated to making it a success and sharing its vision in becoming a global leader in the anti-inflammatory field.

THE MANAGEMENT TEAM

Dr. Yuval Cohen (President and Director)
Dr. Yuval Cohen has a PhD (summa cum laude) from the Curie Institute and the University of Paris V in Toxicology. He has charted Morria’s strategic vision, recruited its SAB, created its business plan and developmental strategy and has made numerous presentations in scientific and industry conferences. Yuval has played a leading role in Morria’s industry collaboration with its partners. He has also been interviewed by US policymakers and the media.

Prof. Saul Yedgar (Chief Scientific Officer and Director)
Prof. Saul Yedgar has developed the company’s proprietary technology at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem. Saul Yedgar studied at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem (PhD, 1977) and at U.C.-San Diego, after which he received tenure at the Department of Biochemistry at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem (The Walter & Greta Stiel Chair in Heart Studies.) He has carried out work at NIH in Bethesda and at the Curie Institute (Paris) and is the member of various international committees, recipient of several international awards and has authored over 100 scientific papers and 20 patents. Professor Yedgar has carried out work in collaboration with European and American teams and is considered an expert on the field of lipid mediator function and control.

Mr. Dov Elefant (Vice President of Finance and Comptroller)
An experienced financial executive with track record in both private and public companies. Mr. Elefant was Financial Controller for Lev Pharmaceuticals (symbol: LEVP OB), which was acquired by ViroPharma in 2008 for $625m. Also held controller/finances roles at Epicept Corporation (symbol: EPCT, Nasdaq and OMX Nordic Exchange), and Tetragenex Pharmaceuticals. He holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Yeshiva University.

Dr. Joe Bondi (Vice President Pre-Clinical Research)
Dr. Bondi is a 39-year veteran of Merck retiring as Director of Pharmaceutical Project Coordination. His roles at Merck included being responsible for technology transfer and early phase development between Banyu Pharmaceutical Research in Japan and Merck Pharmaceutical Research in West Point as well as various activities related to both conventional and novel pharmaceutical dosage forms in early phase development.

Mark Cohen (Chairman of the Board of Directors)
Mark is a Senior Partner and Chair of the Life Science Group at Pearl Cohen Zedek Latzer, LLP.

One of the foremost international experts on asthma and COPD, Peter has consulted for numerous pharmaceutical companies and served as editor of the field’s most leading academic journals. He has won numerous awards for his scientific achievements including the UK ’s most cited scientist for the 90’s.

Professor Marc Feldmann , PhD
Head of Cytokine and Cellular Immunology
Kennedy Institute, London
A professor at Imperial College in London and a pioneer in anti-TNFa therapy and an acknowledged international expert in the field of immunology, autoimmune diseases and cancer. Prof. Feldmann serves as an advisor to several pharmaceutical companies (including Roche) and to several investment banking organizations and is the recipient of numerous prestigious prizes including the 2003 Lasker Prize. He has extensive experience in conducting clinical trials.

Professor Roderick Flower , PhD
Head of Biochemical Pharmacology
William Harvey Research Institute, Queen Mary’s College
Professor Flower is one of the leading scientists in the field of inflammation in general and COX/LOX pathways specifically. He is a recognized international authority on several inflammatory diseases as well as on lipoxins. He serves as consultant to numerous pharmaceutical companies.
